Neal Owens – 1972 Buick Riviera
Representing the STA-BIL® Brand Fuel Treatments
I built this car because I wanted to be different. Buicks are not real popular at the local cruise ins. I found the car on eBay and won the bid for $2450. The car was in rough shape after sitting in a garage for 15 years. I didn’t know how much work was ahead of me or how hard parts are to find for old Rivieras . My wifeTerri, just shook her head when I got it home. My wife calls it \”Riva-the other woman\”. Took three years to rebuild the car. 455ci now 462ci stage 1 -480hp & turbo 400 trans. I shaved- door handles, marker lights, side moldings, and emblems. Louvered hood, & fabricated the Air suspension. Paint is House of Kolor Brandywine with ghost tiki faces and lace. The most difficult job was hand fabrication of the metal patch panels and doing the air suspension. I did the work in my driveway. I am proud of this mild custom Riviera that has turned into something people can’t help but stare at.
