 1937 CHEVY PICKUP

Please tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am the owner and operator of a repair business for the last 17 years. Before that, I worked at a dealership. I am the father of 3 children with 2 grand kids and one college student.

How did you first get interested in this hobby/passion?

When I was younger I enjoyed tearing apart my toys; as I grew older, my toys grew with me until they where cars. I still needed to understand how they worked.

What Rides do you currently own?

My 1937 Chevy pick-up. And I also have a 1967 Camaro that is still in the works.

What do you like most about your Cool Rides?

My 1937 Chevy pick-up eventually turned out to be just what I had envisioned at the start of the project.

What is the best memory you have with your favorite ride?

My 37 and I had traveled quite a bit with one another and with all the car shows I have been to, next to no one has ever said anything negative about it. After finishing the project, my main goal was to be picked as a truck of the year finalist, which I eventually was picked for.

How do you store your ride(s) during infrequent use, and what maintenance tips can you provide for readers?

I store my rides in my garage. When storing them for long periods of time, I fill the tank and add STA-BIL.

What was the first car you ever owned?

A 1972 Chevy Vega, which I installed a V8 in.

What is/was the BEST car ever made?

As far as reliability goes, I would have to say the Buick Lesabre. It’s a very reliable car.

What is/was the WORST car ever made?

The car I HATED to work on the most was a Renalt. Good thing not to many are around anymore.

How did you first hear about the Cool Rides Online website?

Someone had a flier on their car at a show I was at and I looked you up.
