Please tell us a little bit about yourself.
I was born and raised in Chicago, then at the age of 10 we moved to Lexington, KY. At the age of 15, my 35 year old dad passed away, so we moved back to Chicago. In 1984, at the age of 24, I got married. In 1987, I bought my first house, bought a brand new car, & had my 1 and only child, a Beautiful Baby Girl (Jaque), all in a 1 month span!! In 1992, we moved to Arvada, CO. In 1995 I got divorced; then for the next 10 years, I raised my baby girl by myself. She then moved out and I bought my Corvette!! Now my daughter is married and I have a beautiful 2 year old grandson (Kaleb).
How did you first get interested in this hobby/passion?
Well, since the day I was born I grew up at the drag strip! My dad and his best friend started racing in the late 50’s. My dad was a Master Mechanic; he worked for Burlington Northern rebuilding Locomotive Engines, then got the job at the Naval Ordnance Plant building torpedoes & missiles, so we were always working on cars. We then moved to Lexington KY, and when I was about 12 my dad decided to build our 1st Show Car: a 1950 Ford Flat Head! So you can see it is just naturally in my blood!
What Rides do you currently own?
A rare, 1978 L-82 Silver Anniversary Corvette. It is a 4 speed close ratio, black leather int., t-tops, Silver Anniversary Package, with just about every option available
What do you like most about your current rides?
She’s so pretty. I love the color silver on top and gray on the bottom, and the way it is pin striped. She is in show room condition!
What is/are the fondest memories you have while owning your Cool Rides?
In March of 2008, I had the car for only 9 months when I entered it in it’s first all-Corvette show from 1953’s to 2007’s. On that Sunday I won best of my Class being C3’s (68’s to 82’s). Then I also won Best of Show over all the classes!! C1’s through C6’s, and it was at that show I found out from a NCRS Judge that I had a rare Silver Anniversary. He also proceeded to offer to buy it from me on the spot for $27,000, but I told him I wasn’t selling. I only had it for 9 months and would like to enjoy it for awhile!
What was the first car you ever owned?
Well technically when my dad died I got his 1950 Ford, but the first car I bought with my hard earned cash was Sophomore year in High School. It was a 1970 Monte Carlo; it was blue, 350 hopped up a little bit ( quarter race cam, a Holly 750 Double Pumper, a set of Hooker Headers duel exhaust into a set of Cherry Bomb Mufflers). It also had air controlled shocks that I kept jacked up high in the rear because of the big G-60 tires, with Craiger Deep Dish Mags. In the back they didn’t quite fit in the wheel wells unless I kept the air pressure up. It was pretty fast with just that little bit I had done!!
What is/was the BEST car ever made?
1957 CHEVY Bel-Aire
What is/was the WORST car ever made?
How did you first hear about the Cool Rides Online website?

There is more to my life than just cars, but cars are my first love! Besides Family of course!!
