This week we are featuring Ron Holland from Indianapolis, Indiana. The owner of a 1969 Chevy Chevelle SS 396, and this weeks featured ride. Ron has been married for 37 years and is a proud father of three boys, and grandfather of seven. Yes, he admits it he still plays with cars!
Ron not only owns this great 1969 Chevelle, but he is also awaiting the delivery of 2014 Dodge Challenger Shaker. Now there’s a ride I would love to get my hands on. What makes his 1969 Chevelle such a special ride? Ron says “it is such a great example of the American Muscle”.
What’s next in the agenda for Ron? Well he mentions that once he gets the Challenger, it will be time for some modifications. The first thing will be to ditch the stock exhaust and to bolt on something a little more aggressive. He is also planning on going to “Challenger Fest 2014” in Bowling Green, Kentucky as the first road trip on the new ride.
One of his favorite memories was driving around in the track at Indy. His dream car is a Chip Foose designed Chevelle pro-touring.
Ron’s advice for taking care of your ride is to use the best parts you can afford and drive them. Keep them clean and dry. More importantly is to involve your kids, friends and family during the entire process and passing on that same love for American Muscle Cars. I like that; there is nothing more amazing than to see the love and passion for cars passed down from generation to generation. It is because of that, that we have so many that put their passion into every car and create amazing things.
