I am from the little town of Eagle Point, Oregon. I am 28 years old and enjoy anything cool. I first learned about Cool Rides Online from Facebook – my father and I both shared the Cool Rides Online page and CRO also shared a picture of my father’s street-legal v8 quad which is Batman themed.
I currently own a 1985 Toyota pickup on which I just fully rebuilt the motor, transmission, and transfer case. I am hoping to finish it in the springtime as a complete 4X4 wheeling toy.
I also own a 2003 Polaris Predator 500 which has race-cut plastics – I haven’t gotten around to building that yet. I used to own the 2009 Suzuki M109R and road it every day. In my opinion, it is the best motorcycle made. I took trips to the Pacific Northwest coast all the way up to Crater Lake National Park.
It’s been all over – even taking 1st place in a car/motorcycle show here in southern Oregon. My favorite memory with the M109R was when I took a day run to the coast – it was a warm, sunny beautiful day and I just cruised; talk about relaxation at its finest.
The most difficult project I’ve done so far was helping my father, Ronald Schmidt with his street-legal V8 quad. We started from scratch and hand-built everything the way we wanted it. It was the best father-son time yet.
As for my dream car, it would be a ’69 Camaro big block Chevy 4-speed, all white with chrome wheels. It wouldn’t be anything crazy – just elegant and very usable.
One of my biggest tips for storage of your cool ride is to just keep showing it love: keep it clean, keep changing it to keep it interesting if that’s what you need. Cars and vehicles in general are just as much people as they are automobiles. So, just give them love.
