World Record Run
Today the Memphis International Raceway hosts the tour. The Raceway is in Millington, TN, just outside of Memphis. It has three tracks; a drag strip, oval track, and a road course. It has held IHRA as well as NASCAR events in the past.
One of the featured events of the day will have drivers will set out to break a Guinness Book world record. Around 130 participants attempt to overturn the burnout world record set in Australia last New Year’s Eve. Over 100 participants filled the stadium with an awesome display of smoke. Memphis International Raceway is no stranger to world records as drivers frequently use the track to push their vehicles to the limit. Event organizers have worked hard planning the record attempt logistics for months and are excited for the opportunity to bring the record back home to Memphis.
