Win A Redesigned ’71 Chevrolet Camaro in the “STA-BIL 360° Custom Car Sweepstakes”

Hi Everybody! I’m here in Scottsdale, Arizona at the Barrett-Jackson 43rd Annual Auction Event and as always, it is an awesome celebration of collector and one-of-a-kind cars!

We’re celebrating the launch of our new STA-BIL® 360° Protection Ethanol Fuel Treatment and Stabilizer by partnering with Velocity’s hit show, Car Fix, to kick off the “STA-BIL 360° Custom Car Sweepstakes.” One lucky person will win a redesigned 1971 Chevrolet Camaro, completely re-built by Car Fix hosts Jared Zimmerman and Lou Santiago. The winner will also win a trip for two to the 2014 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, where the car will be presented to them.

I’ve been around cars my whole life and have seen many cool rides, but this custom 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Muscle Car is absolutely amazing. Check out what the Car Fix guys have done:


  • 416 cubic inch LS3. 575 horsepower 569 flbs torque
  • Tremec T-56 six speed manual transmission
  • Custom drive shaft
  • Ford 9″ rear end with nodular center-section and 31 spline axles
  • 6 piston brakes 14″ slotted and cross-drilled rotors with custom painted calipers
  • Updated hydro-formed sub-frame
  • Mustang rack and pinion steering
  • C-6 corvette spindles
  • Tubular front control arms
  • Custom 3 piece wheels with bushed hoops and powder coated centers. 18×10 front and 18×12 rear
  • Addition of sub-frame connectors
  • 4-Link rear suspension conversion from leaf spring style
  • Coil over suspension with adjustable shocks
  • Custom made core support that moved radiator 6 inches toward grille
  • Custom made radiator mount
  • Aluminum radiator with dual electric fans
  • Custom made stainless exhaust and headers with x-pipe and unique custom rear flow design for the mufflers


  • Shaved firewall
  • Inner fenders were modified to fit larger front wheels
  • Custom made front header panel and lower
  • Modified and painted grille
  • Custom front scoops with 3 dimensional die cut steel inserts
  • Custom lower 3 piece “chin spoiler”
  • Flared front fenders
  • Fenders modified to fit new rocker panels
  • Emblems shaved
  • Shaved marker lights
  • Custom made hood with shaved grille and functional head extractors
  • Lengthened a pillar that was gapped to fenders
  • Shaved upper stainless trim
  • Shaved door handles
  • Doors and fenders gapped
  • Rocker panels were removed. New ones were made that extended downward and forward, shape of rockers modified, rocker panels were strengthened and boxed with 1/8 inch and 16 gauge steel.
  • Custom side exit exhaust tips and trim rings were made into new rocker panels
  • Floor pan was modified to accept new exhaust
  • Floor pan was modified to accept sub-frame connectors
  • Custom made Transmission Tunnel
  • Quarter panels were removed and new ones were lengthened, slightly widened and reshaped to fit new rear end as well as finished off and tied into the rear diffuser / rear belly pan.
  • Inner and outer rear wheel houses were removed, and new ones were modified to accept massive 13 inch rear tires. Area behind rear tires was closed off
  • Trunk floor modified to accept new gas tank
  • Trunk lid rear wing mounts shaved and trunk lid was modified to better fit opening “gapped”
  • Stainless steel tank was modified with addition of perimeter flange and moved up into trunk floor
  • Rear inner wheel houses and trunk floor modified with additional bracing
  • Rear tail pan was removed from car, a custom one was created. Tail light pan was reshaped, new license plate pocket was created, trunk lock was shaved and moved behind license plate mount, rear bumper was removed, a new lower tail pan was made, and modified to accept custom rear diffuser
  • Custom rear diffuser panel was made from aluminum
  • Painted and modified window trim
  • Custom tri-stage pearl paint
  • Custom paint graphics and stripes with drop shadow and pin-striping
  • Custom made and painted carbon fiber engine cover
  • Underbody was sealed and sprayed with Raptor bed liner


  • All incandescent lights were removed and replace with LED lights
  • Tail lights were modified, back up lenses were replaced with outer brake style lenses. Custom LED rings were made for tail lights; custom LED bulbs were installed for brake lights
  • Custom LED third brake light was added to diffuser
  • Custom LED front parking lights and turn-signals were made for front scoops
  • Custom LED high beam indicator and turn indicators were added to gauge cluster
  • Custom LED foot well lights were added, and dome light was replace with LED
  • Custom LED license plate light was added
  • LED headlights were added and headlight trim rings were painted and brushed to match tail lights.


  • Stock style console was modified to accept new transmission tunnel and power window switches as well as push button start mount
  • Custom shifter handle and six speed knob
  • New modern seats with aggressive bolstering
  • Custom made door panels
  • Custom gauges with LED back lighting and mounts
  • Custom rear seat delete panel made from aluminum, and rear fire-wall
  • Inner quarter panels modified to fit rear seat delete
  • Custom made package tray
  • Custom push- button start
  • Updated tilt column
  • New black anodized steering wheel
  • Custom carpet
  • Interior updated with sound damping materials
  • Updated pedals and drive by wire accelerator pedal
  • Custom made door latches

The dramatic rebuilding of the Camaro will be featured on Car Fix in a four-part series that will air on Velocity TV in February. Viewers will have the opportunity to witness the Camaro’s hands-on transformation into a muscle machine dream car.

This custom 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Muscle car is currently on display at our Gold Eagle Co. booth located outside the WestWorld pavilion near the pre-staging lanes for fans to enjoy.

1971 STA-BIL 360 Camaro

The STA-BIL 360° Custom Car Sweepstakes will run from now through August 31, 2014.

The winner will be announced live on a special 2 hour airing of Car Fix on Friday, October 11, and the car will be officially presented to the winner at SEMA 2014.
