Rare Azure Turquoise Camaro

By Pat Owens

I’ve been a car buff since the 60’s—it all started with Hot Wheels. I’ve been in the Auto industry since the 80’s as a painter, specializing in classic car/ boat restoration. I first found Cool Rides on Facebook.

This is my current car. I’ve owned 9 first Gen Camaro’s in the past. I’ve also owned an AAR Cuda, 1966 427 Caprice, and 1972 Chevelle (my first car).

This car has had a frame off restoration. I did all the work except for some patch panels and upholstery. The factory color is Azure Turquoise which is rare. The interior is black standard and the engine is a GM crate: 465 HP, 520 ft lbs. It has aluminum heads and roller valve train. The transmission is an Auto Gear wide ratio 4 spd. The rearend is a 12 bolt 3:31 Positraction. Options include Endura front bumper, rear bumper guards, center fuel gauge, Tach, tilt comfort grip steering wheel. My next upgrade will be 4 wheel disc brakes (currently disc/ drum factory brakes).

My favorite memory with my cool ride is probably some long road trips during summer months. If money wasn’t an issue, my dream car would be a 1966 427 Corvette Coupe,  with sidepipes, bolt-ons, and a 4-spd.

Comment below and let me know what you think of my Cool Ride!
