CRO Champs In Action: Hamilton Waterfall Cruise

11037467_10152633305087242_3672618160236352424_nOn 2 May 15, Bob Perkins hosted several car club members for a cruise of the Sherman, Tiffany, Lower, Middle, and Upper Syndeham Waterfalls around Hamilton, Ontario. The purpose of the cruise was to raise money to support Team Up to Conquer Cancer.

The car club members drove to the various falls where they hiked up to get a better look at the falls. On one of the hikes, a few members were greeted by an unknown variety of snake (maybe a “Viper” or “Cobra” wanting to join them).

After the cruise, everyone went to the Dutch Mill for lunch and activities. After enjoying their meals the participants tried their hands at “Toonie Tossing”. A “toonie” is a $2.00 Canadian coin. Items that the members were trying to win were placed about 15 feet away and each one tossed their “toonie” to see who was the closest. The coin cannot go past or hit the item, lest being eliminated. A 50/50 and penny sale were also offered to raise the funds for the cancer charity.

Cool Rides Champion, Curt Kimmel, ensured that a basket of Gold Eagle products was supplied to help raise money for their cause. Cool Rides Online window decals, CRO business cards, STA-BIL® discount coupons, and 303® Aerospace Protectant were also provided.

At the end of the event, the cruise raised $1000.00 to fight cancer and hopefully many of these participants will register their “Cool Rides” on the CRO website.
