Thousands Cruise Into Ocean City

Cruisin’ Ocean City is an annual event that brings in thousands of cars, trucks, and spectators for a long weekend every May. Upon my arrival at the Ocean City Convention Center, where I set up the Gold Eagle/CRO booth, I was among several vendors placed in the Ballroom. The Cruisin’ OC staff was very helpful in showing me my location and assisting with logistics.

Even though I arrived Wednesday, Thursday was the official opening day. There was a small crowd but several hundred probably passed my booth. I passed out a lot of Aerospace Protectant samples and told scores about Cool Rides Online. I found that several display items were so popular that the people wanted them for themselves (these were not the “give-a-ways”). Overall, it was a good day. I was also approached by a salesman for Fibrenew of Delmarva. He informed me that when his business repairs dashboards, they recommend that the owner uses Gold Eagle’s 303® Aerospace Protectant. I felt that was a great endorsement for our product.

Since the WiFi in the Convention Center is so poor, I purchased a Hot Spot device so that I could better represent Gold Eagle/CRO. The Hot Spot allowed me to show 303 videos and get the full benefit of our website. That is how I started out on Friday. I shook a lot of hands and passed out more samples since the attendance had increased. Friday was another successful day.

Saturday morning started off with a drizzle. The rain actually works better for the vendors since more people come inside to see what people are selling and to view the few cars that are on display. This event brought two celebrities, Steve Darnell from “Vegas Rat Rods” and Alexandra Paul from “Baywatch” and the movie “Christine”. “Christine” was actually on display. As the day went on, I found myself giving away all of my samples of pens, decals, 303® Aerospace Protectant, and brochures. I also made up some small Gold Eagle/CRO “goody” bags and presented them to some veterans in appreciation for their service.

After three days in the Convention Center it was time to pack it all up again. I had contact with several hundreds of people passing by the booth and provided information and samples to all of them. It was another successful event. Many attendees were familiar with Sta-Bil and using 303 on their boats. I assured them that the same quality goes into everything that Gold Eagle produces.
