Wonder no more, because we have compiled a list of the nastiest, most evil cars that have ever graced the big screen. Don’t let this Halloween season go by without scaring yourself with at least one of our picks of the most terrifying car-centric horror movies. They are all classics in different ways, with one thing in common – they turn our love of cars against us.

Christine

1958 Plymouth Fury“Christine” is a movie about a beautiful red 1958 Plymouth Fury. Christine develops a treacherous grip on Arnie, the high school nerd who buys her. After fixing her up to her former glory, she thanks him by drastically transforming his personality, with tragic consequences. The film was based on the novel written by Stephen King, and directed by John Carpenter, this classic delivers with suspense throughout.

The Car

1970 Lincoln ContinentalIs “The Car”, the mysterious black vehicle, driven by the devil? The star of this cult classic is a specially modified 1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III, bent on terrorizing the citizens of a small Utah town. Part of what makes this movie so entertaining is that it allows your own imagination to scare you as you wonder who is driving the car?

Maximum Overdrive

No one is safe when a comet passes close to the Earth and brings all machinery to life in Wilmington, North Carolina. The star of the movie is a murderous semi-truck with a killer attitude and a green goblin’s face on the grill. Can a group of people trapped by a homicidal group of 18-wheelers in a remote truck stop survive?
