Richard Hendrickson’s 1959 Cadillac Coupe
Representing the STA-BIL® Brand Fuel Treatments
I discovered a pristine 1959 Cadillac Coupe for sale in the neighborhood and was eagerly to pay the $5,000 to the original owner. The owner had gotten offers from two other buyers who wanted to cut the car in half and make a couch out of the rear seat! The owner refused to let anybody do that to this Cadillac and agreed to sell to me if I promised to drive it and not make furniture out of it.
That was about 18 years and I’m still driving my 1959 Caddy to shows and taking it on nice trips with my wife.
Rod Campbell’s 1967 Shelby GT500
Representing 104+ Octane Boost
I built my 1967 Shelby GT500 myself, paint and all.
My Shelby has a 427 sideoiler, dual 4’s, 4 spd., 3.50 posi 9 inch, Sunset Red over Gold 3 stage Ditzler Radiance paint. It was restored last in 1989.
I drag race, road race, autocross and show my ’67 Shelby still.
I have had this car since 1983. I sold it to put money into my business in 1998 and bought back in 2008!
I have shown this car from California to 3 Providences of Canada and in WA, ID, MT, and OR.
Kathy McCormick’s 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle
Representing Iso-HEET® Brand Fuel Treatments
This is my 3rd Chevelle and my 1st 1968. I found it in the local paper (Kansas City) and hurried downtown to purchase it before another interested party bought it just for the interior.
The Chevelle only had 20,103 miles on it so the interior was immaculate! The exterior needed work as well as the engine. With a custom paint job using the original Grotto Blue and some light flames, a replacement of the 307/2 spd Powerglide with a 350/350TH it was ready to drive.
I’ve enjoyed attending several local shows and hosted a show at the local high school as a fund raiser. The car is a blast to drive and I enjoy the smiles and thumbs up too!
I’m the second owner, the original owner was a 55 year old woman who special ordered the car with bucket seats which I’ve heard is rare for the Malibu. She took great care of it and I plan on keeping it until I die. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll let one of my 3 sons inherit it… maybe.
Louis Schafer’s 1966 Plymouth Barracuda
Representing Start Your Engines!® Fuel System Revitalizer
This is my 1966 Barracuda 273 [185 h.p.],500 cfm carb, 904 auto, Factory air/ power steering car, bought new in St. Petersburg, FL.
This car had a cosmetic restoration in 1996. The gentleman that restored it passed away soon after it was done and it sat in a barn until January 2006 when the family sold it to the fella I bought it from. I have owned it since October 2006.
I have rebuilt the entire front and rear suspension, added SSBC disk brakes, rebuilt rear drum brakes, added 70s rally wheels, lowered 2 inches front 3 inches rear, custom 2 1/4 true dual exhaust with 2 1/2 Magnaflow Magnapacks and 2 1/2 oval ss tips, year correct Formula S 4 bb intake manifold.
Right now it’s just original driver quality. Maybe someday I’ll restore it.
